Superstar point guard Luka Doncic finished off a record five-game stretch for the Dallas Mavericks with 51 points, and they needed every one of them in their victory over the San Antonio Spurs.

On Saturday night, Doncic grabbed two boards and made two free throws in the last 4.5 seconds to help Dallas beat San Antonio 126-125 and extend their winning streak to six games.

On Tuesday night, Doncic scored 60 points, grabbed 21 boards, and dished out 10 assists in overtime as his team beat the New York Knicks. It was his third 50-point performance in the last five games. For the first time in NBA history, he scored 250 points, grabbed 50 rebounds, and dished out 50 assists in a single five-game stretch.

“It’s unbelievable,” Mavericks center Christian Wood said. I’ve been in the league for seven years, and nobody else can do what he can. He’s on a tear right now. He is performing at an All-Star level. Indisputable greatest player in the league.

Dallas has now won five in a row over San Antonio thanks to Wood’s 25 points.

Sam Antonio’s Keldon Johnson scored 30, Jeremy Sochan contributed 20, and Jakob Poeltl scored 19 points and grabbed 15 rebounds.

The Mavericks had a 17-point lead going into the final minute, but they had to rally to win.

With the Spurs down 126-124, Dallas player Davis Bertans purposely fouled San Antonio guard Tre Jones after Jones missed the second of two free throws. The first free shot Jones attempted and made, but he missed the second.
