Thompson, Curry lead Warriors past Suns 123-112

Klay Thompson scored 33 of his 38 points in the first half, and the Golden State Warriors defeated the Phoenix Suns 123-112 on Monday night. Stephen Curry added 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists.

For the reigning champs, Jordan Poole contributed 20 points and six assists off the bench. Kevon Looney contributed nine points, ten rebounds, and five assists to the Warriors’ eighth consecutive home victory and twelfth in a row. Golden State’s home record is 29-7 while its away record is 7-26.

Devin Booker scored 32 points and Deandre Ayton had 27 points and 12 rebounds to help the Suns make the game competitive after halftime.

With 4:59 remaining in the third, Josh Okogie’s 3-pointer brought Phoenix within 85-81, and his putback a minute later made the score 87-84 before Curry and Co. returned to the game.
